Antique Chinese Shantou/Swatow pewter tea caddy, circa 1900–1920, bearing the Yan Yongli (顏永利) maker's mark. Heavy faceted pewter/tin-alloy body with ornate relief borders and reverse-painted glass figural panels. Base mark also references Chaoyang and “真料點銅,” a period quality designation associated with Shantou pewter wares. Approx. 7" tall. Weight 2 lb 11.5 oz. Displays original age patina, surface wear and age-related wear to painted panels; please review photos for condition. Marked to the base: Chaoyang Yan Yongli, Zhen Liao Dian Tong, denoting the Yan Yongli workshop and quality-grade pewter.
