French terracotta seedling pot, chalky with lime bloom and moss shadow, the kind that arrive by the hundred from a Provencal nursery and leave one at a time on a windowsill. Buy the lot and have a potting bench in miniature. | SPECS: approx. 3 to 3 1/2 in. tall *(confirm)*; hand-thrown or moulded terracotta with rolled rims and single drainage hole; unmarked. | HISTORY: Small nursery pots like these were used across France for starting seedlings and herbs through the first half of the twentieth century; their weathered, mineral-washed surfaces are exactly the patina that decorators now pay dearly for. | CONDITION: Heavy lime and soil patina, minor rim chips and edge wear consistent with garden use *(confirm)*; no cracks noted *(confirm)*. Sold as found; please review every photo. Stay crazed, darlings.
