Antique French porcelain serving tray showcases an uncommon, stylized butterfly-wing silhouette with dramatically scalloped and contoured edges. Manufactured by the elite Jean Pouyat factory in Limoges, France, the dish features a breathtaking, naturalistic hand-painted or custom-transferred motif of lush purple violets and delicate green foliage. The botanical clusters trail elegantly across a beautifully blended pastel background transitioning smoothly through airy hues of cream, light blue, and warm earthy bronze undertones. The scalloped upper border is finished with integrated molded scroll handles adorned with delicate accent detailing. Turn the tray over to find a pristine, authentic underglaze mark stamped "J.P. L. FRANCE" alongside an official patent date ring reading "PAT. SEPT. 18, 1892," definitively dating this heirloom to the late 19th or early 20th century.
