This is a stunning French Portieux/ Vallerysthal blue compote circa 1940 or earlier. Although this piece is not marked, it was made by Portieux/Vallerysthal, renowned glassmaker in France. This blue opaline bonbon dish features shell all around the lid and the knob is actually a large shell. The three feet feature sea serpents heads. Dimensions: Height: 16cm Diameter: 14cm This item is in great vintage condition with minor signs of age.
