I was happy with what I was bidding on. I asked them to show me the book closely at the end of the stream so I could inspect it with more diligence as during the stream they started mentioning that some of their books had some moisture damage and Rusty Staples. This was off some complaints from the previous stream. when they showed me the Hulk at the end close up it again seemed perfectly fine. what they neglected to mention was a top Rusty staple and the center pages having rust damage due to the Rusty staple, which devalues the book incredibly below a 9.0 grading. they have now proceeded to block me and tell me they will no longer do business with me when I have tried to communicate with him directly and resolve it without a whatnot complaint. BE WARY!Part 1/2
I’m sorry you’re unhappy with your purchases, but the claims in these reviews are not accurate. I’m brand new to comics these are inherited books and I’ve always been 100% upfront that I don’t know the exact condition of every book. In every single live I say the same things:
• Conditions vary on these older books
• “Keep your eyes open / keep scanning”
• “Ask for a closer inspection if you’re unsure—we can go through every page if you want”
• The chat has more eyes and more knowledge than I do
My mods repeat this constantly and it’s in my bio. You are a frequent joiner who has heard be very wary of BUYING COMICS from this seller... they seem very nice and sweet on the stream, and will tell you to carefully look at the items before you purchase. you can only see so much on the video stream. many of the items I purchased seemed fine even when I asked for a closer inspection. what they have neglected to mention is that the Staples on the books are very Rusty and that rust damages the rest of the book internally. some of the books also came where the moisture damage. I messaged them to try and resolve the issue directly but they simply replied to me by saying we said on the stream to look at each condition carefully and then proceeded to block me from any further communication and said "We can no longer do business with you". I was very happy to resolve this with them but now unfortunately with the way they have handled things I will be creating a whatnot complaint and taking it through the proper channels. again.. BE VERY WARY. THE COMICS ARE IN DAMAGED CONDITION.2/2When I or chat see issues live, I immediately point them out, lower the price, or set the books aside. I do not hide anything. You told me the Hulk 377 looked good front, back, inside and to ship it.
You described yourself as very OCD about comics if that’s true, I’m not sure why you didn’t ask for the deeper inspection I offered multiple times before bidding. We disclosed everything to the best of my ability during the live shows. After repeated false claims I’ve decided we can no longer do business with you.
