This 4 inch tall stoneware beauty isn't just a creamer, it's a piece of Minnesota history! Back in the day (pre-1921) this pot was a premium prize given away free inside 50lb barrels of flour by the Sleepy Eye Milling Company. Yes, you had to haul 50 pounds of flour just to get this sweet ceramic loot! Its famous "Sleepy Eye" gaze? That's the face of Sioux Chief Sleepy Eye, chosen as the mill's mascot. He looks perpetually tired because, frankly, carrying around all that heavy stoneware in flour sacks was exhausting. It was made in Illinois, traveled to Minnesota for branding, and was then shipped to your grandmother's pantry. It’s a world traveler, a free gift, and a tiny heavy piece of Americana.
