The Birds is a 1963 horror-thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock about a small Northern California town that becomes the target of unexplained and violent bird attacks. The plot begins when a wealthy socialite, Melanie Daniels, travels to Bodega Bay to pursue a lawyer she met in San Francisco, and is first attacked by a single seagull. Soon after, thousands of birds of all kinds begin to flock to the town and launch terrifying, unprovoked assaults on the residents.
