This is a vintage demitasse cup and saucer set. The set features a courting or colonial couple design. The cup and saucer have a gold trim and an iridescent luster finish. The set was made in Japan. The term "demitasse" is French for "half-cup" and refers to a small cup used for serving strong coffee, like espresso, after a meal. Good condition! No chips, cracks.
