This is gorgeous and has held up pretty well for it's age! No returns or cancelations so please be a responsible buyer. This Late 19th century/early 20th century purse has a metal frame with a clasp closure and a chain strap. The top part of the frame has pretty engraved designs along the front and back from the clasp to the hinge. The frame is linked to a fine chainmail mesh material that makes up the bag. there is an "Alpacca," which is a German nickel silver plate alloy, stamped on the inside at the top of one side and Germany streamed on the other. There is some wear as shown. There are also a few unchained links in the mesh along the bottom where the scalloped edging connects to the main body of the purse. Also in the corner of the hinged part of the frame. Most likely from the 1920s, this flapper era purse is a beautiful snapshot from history. It's delicate yet strong, and held up during dances and outings. This can be repaired or displayed as is. A great piece to add t
