The Initial D "Duct Tape Death Match" features a dangerous handicap race between Takumi Fujiwara's Toyota AE86 and Shingo Shoji's Honda EG6 Civic, where both drivers tape their right hand to the steering wheel, severely limiting their ability to control the car and making drifting almost impossible. Shingo uses the race to seek revenge and test Takumi, intentionally spinning Takumi out and using dirty tactics, but Takumi adapts his driving, eventually winning by using the "gutter trick" to overtake his opponent.
