The specimen is a high-quality, bi-color tourmaline crystal from Skardu, Pakistan. Its main body is a lustrous, opaque black (Schorl) with classic vertical striations. This is dramatically topped by a clear, gemmy, yellowish-green "cap" (Elbaite) that glows when backlit.
