This highly collectible early Egyptian Faience style necklace featuring faux coral and turquoise blue beads and brass filigree findings. This amazing necklace is in the Egyptian Revival style made popular in the mid-1920's by the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb in 1922. The necklace can be seen in Ellie Laubner’s book "Fashions of the Roaring 20's" on page 135 and Roseanne Ettinger's book "Popular Jewelry 1840-1940” on page 8. Very good vintage condition with about 2 of the beads that are either slightly chipped or cracked (normal with these Faience beads - see photos) Measurements (Approx.): Necklace: 15" x 2-1/2"
