Struck in West Point and designated as a Proof (PR) strike, this coin is made of 91.67% gold; 3% silver; 5.33% copper from a mintage of 54,570 struck. Very popular one ounce bullion gold coin. Obverse: The Augustus Saint-Gaudens' design that depicts a full portrait of Liberty atop rays of sunlight surrounded by stars and the word LIBERTY on the top periphery. The date is positioned to the right of Liberty's left knee. Reverse: A flying eagle is depicted approaching her nest of three waiting eagles accompanied by the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST , 1 OZ. FINE GOLD~50 DOLLARS. This coin is in a Vault Box - Series 8 Red Core slab.

I initially joined WN looking for records(vinyl) but quickly discovered the coins and bullion category, rekindling a great interest from my youth. I have so much fun and really enjoy streaming and the opportunity it affords me to continue in this awesome hobby, while continuing to learn and hopefully helping others do the same. On a more personal note, I've experienced a "twitch"/tic since I was in about 5th grade and have recently (finally!) been diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome. I know...."Yeah, right! This guy just wants an excuse to randomly shout curse words!" 😜🤣😜 In my situation it doesn't manifest this way but it does periodically make it difficult for me to speak so if you join one of my shows, and I'm not babbling away like a late night talk show host delivering a monologue, please read the show notes, let me know you're there, and ask any questions you may have in the chat.
