Absolutely beautiful charoite (my new obsession) butterfly wings! Weighing in at 10.5 oz. and a huge 5.1 inches at the longest point. These wings are a definite statement piece. Charoite is a rare, purple silicate mineral found only in Siberia, Russia, named after the Chara River. It is known for its swirling patterns and vibrant colors, its hardness is only 5–6 on the Mohs scale, so it should be handled with care to avoid scratches.
