It waited years for the big game but the only time it ever saw ink was when the printer mistakenly used it to pad the pages next to a massive ad for discount liverwurst. One night the block attempted a great escape, trying to roll itself out the back door, convinced its true calling was a life of adventure but it only managed to fall behind the filing cabinet for two decades. Now, it’s retired! It's got the satisfying weight of a heavy past and a cheerful outlook, knowing it dodged a lifetime of dull baseball box scores. Reverse-relief metal printing plate (often zinc or copper electroplate) mounted on a type-high wood block or solid metal base.
