(Protected Mutual Life / Knights of the Maccabees) lapel pin from Petersburg, Virginia, featuring the Maccabees’ fraternal insignia on a gold-tone shield with engraved text: “P.M.L. No. 25 – Petersburg VA – Oct. 10–15, 1925.” Back stamped Violet & Co. with T-bar chain attachment. Rare piece of American fraternal and life insurance history.
