in back of the clock movement it has small gold plaque that reads USS CALIFORNIA which is a battleship that got sunk in pearl harbor!! but was brought back and remodeled to be better then before but after a few years of more war it was decommissioned and turned to scrap! story has it my dad's step father was a scuba diver and retrieved this clock right off the wall of the uss CALIFORNIA, I can promise any of that to be true but that is the story that was given to next person !! all I know is its cool as shit and it runs!!! great clock!! 9 inches across about 3inches deep!
