To commemorate the opening day to the public on July 18, 1955 Disney created a beautifully detailed pin depicting in the first general admission ticket sold general admission at the time was one dollar for adults and $.50 for kids Disneyland. First day ticket July 15, 1955 Gold pin. On July 17, 1955 Disneyland welcome its first guest through its gates. An invitation only ticket was given to a group of celebrities dignitaries, and the press to enjoy the park prior to opening day.
