Product Details

This is an antique Sèvres porcelain plate from the Royal Hunting Service commissioned by King Louis Philippe for the Château de Fontainebleau. The service was ordered by King Louis Philippe in 1836, with the first pieces delivered in 1839. The design, in a Renaissance style, features a band of intricate hunting scenes with foliage and various animals around the rim. The plate includes the addorsed 'LP' monogram for Louis Philippe, King of the French from 1830-1848. Sèvres porcelain is among the most famous in the world, and pieces from this specific service are highly sought after. (Call out: has some wear on gold as shown in pics)

About the Seller
I am a full time hairdresser with a passion for old things. I am blessed with an amazing husband, 3 children, and 3 grandchildren. We own a small hobby farm and love to hunt. We are outdoor people. I was raised to respect our past and keep it in the present, so I try to do this through circulating and repurposing items. I love learning about new things I’ve never seen so hopefully we can teach each other. I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
