His extensive research into the qualities of papaw LED him to develop Lucas' Papaw Ointment, a formula that has remained unchanged for over a century. Today, the tradition continues. The finest fresh papaws from Far North Queensland are hand selected, fermented and produced in a local Brisbane facility. Our fermentation process delivers an exceptional concentration of the healing enzymes of papaw. Papaw has powerful antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial qualities, and is rich in antioxidants, papains and nutrients. With healing and cleansing properties, Lucas' Papaw Ointment contains no glycerine, palm oil, sodium lauryl sulphate, talc or shellac.
