Dwarf Water Lettuce is a floating plant that is great for your pond or aquarium. It is a beautiful green, ruffled-leaf plant that floats on the top of your aquarium or pond and has feathery roots that hang down in the water. It’s perfect for adding dimension, while naturally improving the water quality within your set-up. Water lettuce is one of the friendliest beginner plants that tends to thrive in any aquarium or outdoor pond. It requires adequate lighting and nutrients. Typically, the fish waste created in the water will have enough nutrients for your water lettuce to thrive and spread across the top of the water. This is great for aquatic critters because it provides shade, a safe place for fish to hide from predators, and it will consume the excess nutrients in the water which will create a healthier environment for your fish. Dwarf Water Lettuce will greatly reduce the likelihood of getting algae in your pond or aquarium because it will suck out the nitrates in the water and it’s one of the best plants to add to help eliminate algae. Orders placed from Wednesday afternoon through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday through Wednesday. This schedule is designed to prevent packages from being in transit over the weekend, which could compromise the health of the live animals and plants. *Please remember, plants are living, breathing, and constantly adapting and growing. Hence, we cannot guarantee an exact match to the exact plant pictured in the listing photograph; however, you will receive a plant of the same species and high-quality. We do insulate, provide cold/hot pack, silver insulated pack and/or foam lining DEPENDING on weather. DOA Policy: While DOA's are VERY uncommon for us, they can happen from time to time. Unfortunately, once the package leaves our facility, numerous things can happen while in transit to you. We do require you to contact us within 12 hours FROM the time the package was delivered. We will look at your time of delivery from your tracking number to verify this. Please take THREE clear pictures of the plants showing the loss IN THE SEALED BAG. Then we require ONE clear picture of ALL THE PLANTS that were in the bag on a FLAT SURFACE. We need to be able to CLEARLY see, count, and verify the total number of DOA plants (take a few pictures if you need to). As stated above, we need the MINIMUM of FOUR pictures in order for us to apply the DOA Policy. DO NOT THROW AWAY any plants until we have reviewed your photos and given you the go ahead to do so, as we may need more specific pictures of higher end plants to confirm they're indeed DOA. The DOA Policy only applies to the actual plants purchased. Without completing these requirements we will not refund or replace dead plants. Complete compliance is required!
