True Story: His senior year of high school, Marvin and some friends robbed a bus in his home town of Providence, RI. One problem - Marvin was wearing his Basketball State Championship jacket embroidered with 'Marvin' on the left breast. Not a lot of 6'9" guys named Marvin back then, I guess, because they nabbed him shortly thereafter. Still, he was drafted #2 overall (behind Bill Walton) by the 76ers in the 1974 NBA draft, but signed with the ABA's Spirit of St. Louis instead. This 50+ year old rookie card of Marvin "Bad News" Barnes has very slight chipping on the front bottom edge, but is otherwise super sharp and clean - fantastically conditioned.

Began collecting sports cards as a kid in the 70's and 80's. Began collecting pets, debts and kids in the late 90's and early 2000's, so there's a bit of a 'gap' in my collection, tbh. You'll certainly see some newer stuff sprinkled in, but if you like mid 90's and earlier, you will enjoy what i have to offer - I think you will find my cards very reasonably priced compared to others on this app. I will always be honest with respect to their condition and never pressure anyone to buy.
