Product Details

Vintage sterling silver pendant featuring Mayan or Aztec glyphs/symbols. The glyphs acid test as 10k gold (assume gold filled). These types of pendants are often referred to as "cartouche" style and are popular pieces of Mesoamerican revival jewelry Top Glyph: The top symbol appears to be the glyph for Ik' (Wind or Air) in the Mayan calendar, which symbolizes breath, spirit, and life. Middle Glyph: The middle symbol resembles the glyph for Manik' (Deer), representing a day associated with deer, a creature of the forest and a symbol of swiftness or the divine spirit. Bottom Glyph: The bottom symbol looks similar to the glyph for Cib (Owl or Vulture/Wisdom), often associated with wisdom, the night, and ancestral guidance.

About the Seller
Doing this for more of a hobby than anything else. Maybe it will be my retirement gig in a few years. I’m a retired Army veteran than enjoys cleaning silver jewelry….weird right? It’s somewhat cathartic for me, so I guess it makes sense to sell the stuff I buy.
