Marvel Comics Super Special #1 – KISS, published 1977 by Marvel Comics. This oversized collector’s edition is legendary for being printed using red ink mixed with real blood donated by the members of KISS during the manufacturing process. The issue adapts the mythology and personas of KISS into comic-book form and represents one of the most famous collaborations between rock music and comic history. Copies of this issue were buried in a time capsule at Marvel’s printing plant as part of the publicity stunt. Comic is intact with all pages present and appears complete. Condition is as shown in the photos—please review images carefully for exact condition. Any wear is consistent with age and storage. All items have been bagged and boarded and come from a non-smoking home. A true centerpiece collectible for fans of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, as well as Marvel comic collectors and fans of 1970s rock history. Ships with care.
