Product Details

Matched start and end $1 Federal Reserve Notes from the same original pack, accompanied by the original St. Louis Series 1969 pack wrappers, making this a highly unusual and well-documented grouping. The starting note (H68736001A) is a mule, using a Series 1969-B reverse back plate (1402) paired with a Series 1969-C face. The ending note (H68740000A) is a non-mule, correctly using a Series 1969-C reverse back plate, showing a confirmed plate transition within the same pack. In addition, the grouping displays a human handling error: a distinct fingerprint in bright green Treasury ink, transferred during the printing or handling process. This is not bleed-through or staining, but a true ink fingerprint, adding a rare human element rarely seen with intact pack material. The presence of both start and end notes, original wrappers, a mule/non-mule transition, and a human ink error makes this a standout item for advanced collectors of production anomalies and BEP process material.
