Product Details

Elegant mid-century French ormolu-mounted porcelain trinket box, dating to approximately 1958–1965. This piece features a classic hexagonal form, a beautifully detailed fired porcelain rose transfer on the lid, and hand-applied gilt floral banding around the body. The porcelain is fully fired and glazed, with a smooth white interior and a translucent coral exterior layer — hallmarks of quality European production. The ornate gold ormolu frame, beaded trim, and floral clasp medallion reflect the luxury vanity style of the period. These boxes were commonly produced using Limoges or Bavarian porcelain blanks and assembled in France for the Paris export market. Perfect for jewelry, vanity display, or collector décor. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Hinge and clasp operate smoothly. Approximate Size: 2.2" wide × 1.4" high
