Amber 4064 - Unique double header of an amber! The unique paring of two uncommon rock star insect inclusions of a Lacewing Larva and a Pseudoscorpion! The detail of both of these insects is outstanding, just look for yourself!! Lacewings (Order Neoroptera) in their larval form have a pair of pincer-like mandibles on their head to grasp their prey, often lifting them into the air to keep them from escaping. The larva then injects enzymes into the victim that turn their organs into a liquid which they later suck out. Adult lacewings are a familiar site under porch lights in the warmer months. They are typically light green, with very very delicate green-veined wings, thus the name "lace" wing.
