Product Details
Unissued specimen note produced by the American Bank Note Company, dated Series of 1929. This piece represents an internal denomination and layout sample, not a circulating banknote and not legal tender. The obverse features a classical allegorical female bust in an oval frame, with bold “SPECIMEN NOTE” inscriptions and generic denomination markings reading “10” and “DENOMINATION.” The reverse is fully ornamental, showcasing elaborate guilloché work, blank portrait ovals, and repeated “SPECIMEN NOTE” text, intended to demonstrate engraving quality, spacing, and security design rather than a finished issue. Printed on traditional paper using high-quality intaglio engraving typical of ABNC production. As expected for specimen material, the note shows no serial numbers, issuing bank name, or redemption text. Vertical ink transfer / handling marks are present, consistent with archival storage or printer handling, and should be considered normal for this type of specimen material.
