Victoriana Botanica Butterfly Frame🪴✨ A vintage bubble glass frame inspired by nature, the decor of the Victorian era, and antique greenhouses. The frame includes an antique Victorian cabinet card portrait, a butterfly, flowers, moss, and a modern ephemera print. I went outside of my own aesthetic of Victorian mourning/ neutral tones to create a more lively piece inspired by other Victorian decor color schemes. I wanted to create a piece that could give you an elegant style with a touch of nature, no matter what time of season it is. While making this piece, I couldn’t help but to think of how dangerous the color green was in the Victorian era as it was made with arsenic. Thankfully today, green fabric is safe!
