Original 1942–43 Canadian “Private Receiving Station” Radio Licence issued by the Department of Transport, Radio Division. Bilingual English/French government document issued in Montreal, Quebec. Dated 1942 with expiry March 31, 1943. Original fee noted ($2.50). Includes original Ottawa postmarked envelope dated March 31, 1942. Wonderful WWII-era home front piece showing the requirement to license private radio receivers in Canada.
