Original 1932 Darling Brothers Limited letter from Montreal (Engineers, Manufacturers, Founders). Dated December 31, 1932. Formal notice of salary reduction due to “greatly reduced volume of orders” during the Great Depression. States new wage rate of $75 per month effective January 1, 1933. Signed by the company President. Excellent example of Depression-era industrial correspondence reflecting the economic downturn in real time. Condition: Fold lines, age toning, light wear consistent with age. Please review photos.
