The tangent galvanometer is a scientific instrument used in the early 19th century to measure electrical current used in education laboratories. This is wood and brass with adjustable feet. I do not have the compass . This is a very collectible piece likely made by JJ griffin and sons. I’m selling this as a decor piece which would look beautiful on any shelf possibly nautical look etc. 9” high 7” wide Base 41/2” deep
