In essence it's a book about really bad weather and its effects on the population. It covers storms in Omaha, Dayton, Galveston, St. Louis, just to name a few. This books relates an interesting history lesson of just how bad it was, and with a little imagination you can understand all of the improvements that have been made to limit danger of bad weather. The book contains 304 pages. The covers are stained, and the spine a bit weak, but the pictures are fairly good. This is very interesting reading about the dangers and the triumphs of an early United States.
