This beautiful gem is cut from a piece of Emerald Green colored YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet), a man made gem that has the same crystal structure as natural garnet. YAG is used in all kinds of industries as components for lasers, PET scanners, and radiation detectors. It also makes for some beautiful and interesting gems. This particular design has 85 facets. The cut and polish are excellent.
