Formed as an endless strand measuring approximately 40 inches and weighing an impressive 115 grams, this early 20th-century example ranks among the heaviest and most authoritative known to survive intact. Luminous natural rock crystal orbs are secured within engineered wire cradles stamped PAT APPL’D FOR, indicating an original patented mounting system rather than later recomposition. The absence of rhodium plating is consistent with early white-gold alloys used prior to its widespread adoption, supporting a date in the Edwardian to early Deco period, circa 1905–1918.
