The Hasbro Star Wars 30th Anniversary Collection R2-D2 & C-3PO (McQuarrie Concept) is a two-pack action figure set released in 2007 that presents the droids based on Ralph McQuarrie's initial, highly stylized concept art. The figures capture a very different look for the characters, with C-3PO appearing more streamlined and R2-D2 having a distinct dirty, rugged aesthetic. Design: The figures are based on the original concept paintings, showing a C-3PO that is more angular and smooth than his final movie appearance, while the R2-D2 has a notable "dirty" weathered paint application to reflect a desert crash.
