Product Details

Rindskopf glass was produced by a company called Josef Rindskopf’s Sohne AG, which translates from German to English as Josef Rindskopf’s Sons. This glass manufacturer was set up by the sons of Josef Rindskopf after his death in 1890, and was located near the spa town of Teplice in what is now the Czech Republic. There were two factories, one at Dux and the second at Tischau, the latter (Barbarahutte) produced the popular Art Nouveau iridescent glass which was mainly for export. This particular example stands 9.5 inches tall and has a beautiful transition from pale green at the base to a deep wine red at the top. It does have a condition issue on the top lip. There is a shallow 1/4" chip on the top edge where it meets the inside of the vase, as well as a 3/8" chip on the inside top edge of the vase next to the other chip. Neither affect the structure of the vase and are invisible when viewed from the outside. Please view all photos.
