This is a vintage S.O. & Co. N.Y. railroad uniform button featuring a locomotive image The button is made of brass and is approximately 5/8" (16mm) in diameter. It is believed to be from the late 1800s, circa the 1890s. "S.O. & Co." likely refers to the Southern New York Railway or Standard Oil Co. of New York.
