It was produced by Shawnee Pottery, which operated in Zanesville, OH, from 1937 to 1961. The "Smiley Pig" line was introduced in the late 1940s and continued into the 1950s. It features a coin bank slot on the top and a lid for the cookie jar section. The pig is depicted wearing brown trousers and a green kerchief, with gold trim accents on the ears, nose, and buttons.
