Product Details

Beautiful antique hand-painted Nippon porcelain trinket dish, featuring a soft yellow ground with delicate hand-painted floral decoration and gold gilt accents. This charming piece is marked on the underside “Hand Painted Nippon” with the Morimura “M” wreath mark, identifying it as a piece produced for export by the Morimura Brothers company of Japan, the firm that later became Noritake. The elegant form features small open handles and a slightly raised center, making it perfect as a trinket dish, nut dish, candy dish, or vanity tray. Pieces marked Nippon were produced for the American market prior to 1921 and remain highly collectible today. Very good antique condition. • No major cracks • No repairs observed • Light age wear consistent with antique porcelain • Gold gilt shows minor age wear • Displays beautifully

About the Seller
I’m Brandi (named after the song by Looking Glass) and my husband is Brian. We were both born in the 70’s with a Gypsy’s soul. I have an eye for old and rare treasures. My “Gammaw” passed on the appreciation for antiques to me and I love telling their stories. We are empty nesters. Our babies are grown. Brian had a liver transplant a few years ago and we are rebuilding our lives after his miraculous recovery. You could say that “antiquing” has become our therapy- it’s good for our soul.
