This US cartridge boxplate was recovered along Slocums Line, Chancellorsville Battlefield on December 5th, 1971 by an early metal detectorist. The brass has a very nice sick brown patina with an intact lead filled back. Both iron hooks are present and includes the original tag placed by the digger who found it. The boxplate comes in a nice display case with glass front. Do NOT miss the opportunity to grab a once in a blue moon relic like this! You will not find a better dug example!
