Product Details

This note was part of the "New Rupiah First Series". Because the Rupiah was significantly devalued shortly after its release, these low-denomination notes became almost worthless for everyday transactions. As a result, millions were never circulated and remain available to collectors today in pristine, "uncirculated" condition. It was officially demonetized on November 15, 1996. Estimated Value Due to the high volume of surviving uncirculated notes, individual pieces are generally inexpensive for collectors: Single Note: Typically retails for $1.00 to $4.00 depending on condition. Bulk/Bundles: Uncirculated "bricks" or packs of 10–100 notes are often sold, with 10-piece lots priced around $6.00 to $7.50.
