Highly collectible, vintage Kenneth Jay Lane Double Dorje Brooch is a Byzantine Revival design that reimagines the traditional Buddhist ritual symbol for the indestructible nature of enlightenment. Large brooch, measuring 3.5" x 3.5" , 1.66 ounces. The back is stamped "Kenneth Lane" without the Jay which was used for pieces sold in KJL's company boutiques and high-end department stores during the 1980s to 1990s. This piece is gold-plated metal (often18k or 22k gold plate, according to research).
