Vintage lot of 4 Wood Framed Lithographs by Winold Reiss. These were part of a Series of 24 prints titled “Blackfeet Indians of Glacier National Park" commissioned in 1940 by the Great Northern Rail Company to promote rail tourism in Glacier National Park. German-born Reiss was well respected by the Blackfeet and lived on the reservation in the 1920's and 30's. These are great looking in 14 3/4" × 11 3/4" wood frames. There are some age related scratches and wear on the frames in a few places. The portraits include the 4 following great looking pics: • Night Shoots • Spopeia and Mameia • Little Plume • Double Steel and Two Cutter Each has "From original portrait by Winold Reiss NY Copyright Great Northern RY. Co., St. Paul" and "Printed in U.S.A." on the front bottom corners. These would look great in any collection.
