Beautiful early American carnival glass rose bowl produced by the Imperial Glass Company during the first carnival glass era, circa 1908–1915. This example features the Rose Show pattern, with molded rose blossoms and foliage panels above a diamond texture band, finished in classic gold carnival iridescence over black amethyst glass. The bowl sits on three applied feet and has the original crimped rose-bowl rim. Black amethyst carnival glass appears nearly black in normal light but reveals deep purple when light passes through the base — a hallmark of early carnival production. A wonderful Victorian-era decorative bowl perfect for collectors of early American carnival glass.
