This is vintage oval brass trinket box, possibly a 19th-century snuff box or tea caddy, featuring a rope-pattern border. Oval shape with a braided rope edge detailing on the lid and body. May be used for storing jewelry, small trinkets, snuff, or tea. No chips, dents or dings, mild spotting in areas. Some discoloration in the bottom as seen in pics. Stickered on bottom, “Made in India “. Approximately 5” long by 4”w, 3.5” tall.
