Late 19th to early 20th century folding funeral cooling board manufactured by Detroit Casket Co. Three-panel oak frame with original canvas sling, iron tension rods, and folding turned legs. The center section forms a slight incline for head elevation, consistent with period funeral display practices. Designed for portability and in-home viewing prior to burial. Folds flat for transport and storage. Original stamped canvas visible. Wear to canvas as well as age related wear. I have not sat on it, but all of the canvas is taught.
