An exceptional, uncirculated silver drachm from the peak of the Sasanian Empire. This specimen features a sharp, high-relief portrait of Bahram V (known famously as Bahram Gur), wearing his signature mural crown with a korymbos set on a crescent. ​The reverse depicts a beautifully detailed Zoroastrian fire altar, the central symbol of the state religion, flanked by two ritual attendants. Unlike most surviving drachms of this era, this coin retains its original mint luster and shows virtually no signs of circulation wear, earning it the prestigious Mint State (MS) grade from NGC.
