Welcome to the Rosebud Indian Reservation, Lore Keeper, where the law often fails and Virgil Wounded Horse provides his own brand of justice. As a "hired enforcer," Virgil is the man people turn to when the American legal system and tribal council let them down. 🦅⚖️👊 When a new and deadly drug finds its way onto the reservation, affecting Virgil’s own family, his work becomes personal. His journey for answers takes him from the prairies of South Dakota to the streets of Denver, forcing him to reclaim his Lakota heritage and confront the systemic forces that have marginalized his people for generations. David Heska Wanbli Weiden crafts a "groundbreaking and gritty" narrative that is as much about cultural identity as it is about the hunt for a criminal. It is a propulsive, "unflinching" story that marks the arrival of a major new voice in crime fiction. 🌾🚔🔥 BOOK DETAILS: Author: David Heska Wanbli Weiden Format: Paperback (July 2021 Edition) Genre: Crime Thriller, Indigenous Noir Vibe: Gritty, Atmospheric, Powerful, Authentic ✨ LORE KEEPER BONUS: Trope Alert!
