Beautiful Staffordshire Enamels hand painted English enamel trinket box featuring a charming nursery scene with baby cradle, teddy bear, toy elephant, and nursery shelf with toys. The interior lid reads “Lullaby by Brahms – Original title ‘Wiegenlied’ composed in 1868 in E Flat.” The underside is marked Staffordshire Enamels – Made in England. This piece was originally designed as a music box, however the musical mechanism is missing, so the music function does not operate. It can still be used as a decorative trinket box or collectible enamel piece. Includes a Crummles hand painted English enamels storage box for presentation and storage. Please note the Crummles box is not the same maker as the trinket box, but it is included.
